Greetings! Thank you for visiting my website.  Let me take this opportunity to share with you more about who I am and my interest in running for office.

I am extremely honored to be among the fine candidates running for the Member-at-Large position. Having been a member of RID for twenty-six years, I have seen this organization grow.   My vision is to assist our membership with operationalizing the philosophy, mission, and goal of the Association. In working with the regional representatives and local affiliate chapters, my aspirations would be to support them with the coordination of activities and communication in and among the regions. My aim is to engage our membership in a broad range of activities drawing more and more individuals into the profession of American Sign Language Interpreting while increasing the membership of RID.

It is imperative that we have all members to get involved on all levels. If elected to this position, the following are just a few of the ways I will share information: e-mail, blogs, vlogs, discussion groups, attending meetings and conferences, and holding town hall meetings.

I have been actively involved with RID in various capacities.  My service has been in the areas of serving as a committee member, on-site coordinator, credentials chairperson, assistant on-site coordinator, local testing administrator (LTA), and Editor of the Journal of Interpretation.

Throughout the years I have come to meet numerous exciting and vibrant members of this organization.  The passion and dedication demonstrated by so many individuals as a result of their good work in this profession speaks volumes.  I am asking for your vote as Member-at-Large to work collectively with a vibrant team of individuals to serve the membership.  As the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King said, "Not everyone can be famous, but everyone CAN be great, because greatness comes from service". Allow me to tap into the greatness of so many of our members.
